Kevin Crenshaw: From Darkness to Light - Understanding God through Love and Healing
In the episode “From Darkness to Light: Understanding God through Love and Healing” of my What is God? podcast, we were able to talk about a wide range of topics with our guest, Kevin Crenshaw. As a love and relationship coach who was raised as an evangelical Christian, he shared his resonating view of God and life in general. He also talked about the metaphorical nature of biblical teachings, examining how they can be understood as symbolic representations of our internal dynamics and spiritual journeys.
As we delved deeper into our conversation, we talked about near-death experience and otherworldly encounters, particularly angels and dark energy. He also shared how these experiences had a profound impact on his perspective and understanding of the divine.
Kevin also discussed the multi-dimensional nature of human beings and “parts work,” which are different parts of us. Drawing inspiration from Jesus, the ultimate shadow worker, he emphasized the importance of embracing and loving all aspects of ourselves, even the parts we may consider shameful. In doing so, we follow Jesus' example of true love and acceptance.
As the Heart Guy, he advocates for healing past relationship traumas to cultivate self-love and be able to make genuine connections not just with other people but also with God. He helps people deal with their relationship wounds and finally bring every part of themselves together so they can love themselves fully. “People may try to just simply go really deep into these esoteric practices, which bring you outside of the animal and more deeply into the spiritual but the danger is that if you overdose on it, before you're truly grounded in your animal then the danger is that if you go too far, there is a point of not coming of no return.”
