Rabbi Yoel Tordjman: 613 Pathways to Co-Creating With the Divine

In the episode “613 Pathways to Co-Creating With the Divine” of my What is God? podcast, we ask what precisely is God and and what is our connection to God? As a rabbi who involves God in all of his 613 artworks where everything speaks to the soul, Rabbi Yoel Tordjman shares instances of having a Creator in every creation. Is God, to us, a non-stop connection? Rav. Yoel explains if God is alive in us and in every little thing we do 24/7.

We discuss the idea that while God is often thought of as being in heaven, God is also within each of us. Rav. Yoel shares a story about visitors at a prominent New York museum, where they were captivated by a single, monumental art piece on the top floor, which prompted them to question the very nature of creation and its creator.

We examine the notion that God is present in every piece of art and that our world, in its entirety, is God's masterpiece. As part of this creation, we are all connected to God.

When we seek a deeper connection with God but feel as though something is missing, we discuss how to enhance our bond with the divine. The level of connection we desire with God is often determined by how we manage our lives.

By contemplating what surrounds us, what lies within us, and what lies ahead, we gain inspiration to tap into the divine light already present within us.

We must relinquish a degree of control to venture out into the world, open our eyes, and ask ourselves what opportunities exist to strengthen our connection with God.
